What MIGS are available?
There are several types of MIGS techniques available now with various mechanisms of action that can be singly, in combination or in succession of each other. There are currently five various mechanisms of action (MOA): removal of trabecular meshwork(TM), bypass of TM, dilation of Schlemm’s canal and the distal outflow channels, shunting to suprachoroidal, and shunting to subconjunctival space. An easy way to explain the various MIGS technologies is to discuss them through their MOA.
